Dzikwa Trust started raising broilers and rabbits for children’s daily feeding in 2018. The facilities for animal husbandry were built with a dedicated grant through the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The monthly production is 300 broilers. About half of the production is delivered to the Dzikwa Kitchen and the rest to the Dzivarasekwa community members.

ReFoSec started rearing rabbis in 2018. It is developing its own breeding stock. The current monthly volume of rabbits delivered to the Dzikwa Kitchen is 96. There are no deliveries of rabbits to the community.
