Community Outreach & Skills Training Building

Dzikwa Activity Centre’s capacity to serve the Dzivarasekwa community in various ways was significantly enhanced in 2021. Dzikwa Trust secured a Japanese government grant of USD 90,909 for grass-roots development assistance through the Embassy of Japan in Harare. Dzikwa Trust invested over USD 10,000 of its own funds in the project.

A 2-story structure for community outreach and skills training was festively opened on 26.11.2021 by the Ambassador of Japan to Zimbabwe, H.E. Satoshi Tanaka.
The building has two large classrooms for up to 30 students each, two smaller consultation rooms, storage, and restrooms facilities. It will be a dedicated WI-Fi connection. Dzikwa Trust organizes its own outreach programs for the community’s vulnerable youth and their guardians. It can avail space for grassroots community organizations, small businesses, and handicrafts entrepreneurs, and also offer targeted training with dedicated funding.
