Dzivarasekwa Youths Shine After Completing Employability Skills Training

In a remarkable achievement, a total of 489 talented and ambitious youths from the Dzivarasekwa community have successfully completed their Employability Skills Training program with the support of Young Africa.

The training initiative, made possible by the generous funding from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, has provided these young individuals with invaluable opportunities to enhance their skills, gain essential knowledge, and ultimately improve their prospects for a brighter future.

“We are thrilled to see the impact of this program on the lives of our Dzivarasekwa youths,” said Sarah Makunde, the Director of Young Africa. “By equipping them with practical and sought-after skills, we are empowering them to become highly competitive candidates in the job market.”

The Employability Skills Training curriculum covered a wide range of essential competencies, including communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Through interactive workshops and hands-on activities, the participants were able to develop these skills and gain a competitive edge.

“This program has been a game-changer for me,” said Tanyaradzwa Mutasa, one of the program graduates. “I now feel confident and prepared to take on the challenges of the job market, and I’m excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.”

The successful completion of the Employability Skills Training program is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the Dzivarasekwa youths, as well as the unwavering support of Young Africa and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland.

“We are proud to have played a role in empowering these young individuals,” said Juha Savolainen, the Ambassador of Finland to Zimbabwe. “Their achievements are a true inspiration, and we remain committed to supporting initiatives that create pathways for youth development and employment.”
